There is a lot you carry around in your head when you run a landscape company. Which plants looked stressed on the last visit. Which truck keeps needing repairs. Who has the trailer this week.

Two recent additions to Daily give that information a place to live. In this short walkthrough, I show our crew photo review feed and equipment dashboard.

Put the photos crews already take to work

Our crews take photos in the field while they are using Daily to track their time. Those photos give me eyes on properties when I cannot be there myself.

My first thought was simple: make it easy to mark good photos for social media. But reviewing the feed also brings up things that deserve a closer look. A plant might be struggling. There might be a task for the crew or an opportunity to discuss with the client.

In the video, I flag some tired-looking plants for review and save a few beautiful persimmon photos for social media. The same feed supports both: noticing what needs attention and recognizing the good work already happening.

Give each piece of equipment a history

Trucks, trailers, tools, and heavy equipment all come with details someone needs to keep track of. Daily now has a place for vehicle information, team assignments, mileage, maintenance history, and the next service due. We are starting to populate it with our own vehicles.

One useful connection is receipts. When someone in our shop uploads a repair receipt, they can associate it with the vehicle it belongs to. Over time, those receipts build a record of costs and repairs for that equipment.

That gives us something concrete to look at when we are deciding whether a truck is becoming too expensive to keep. This is equipment recordkeeping; the update does not include GPS tracking.

Build a record the team can use

The thread running through both updates is simple: capture the information where the work happens, then make it useful to the people making decisions.

A shared history also creates the foundation for future AI assistance that could identify recurring problems and bring them to our attention. That starts with getting the photos, receipts, and operating details into the system today.
